Dear Member // We are writing to update you on changes to our telephone banking service at SBS Bank. As banking habits change and more of our members make the move to manage their money through our personal internet banking service and our SBS Mobile banking app, we would like to let you know that our telephone banking service will no longer be available from June 17, 2024. All the everyday banking activities available through telephone banking, such as accessing account information, transferring money and making payments, can still be done quickly and securely, from the comfort of your own home through our personal internet banking service or the SBS Mobile banking app. We wanted to get in touch to give you as much notice as possible about this change and provide information about alternative ways to bank, should you need them. Summary of changes
- 17 June 2024 - The SBS telephone banking service will no longer be available from midday on June 17, and all calls into the telephone banking number will be directed to our Contact Centre
- If you have regularly been using our telephone banking service, you will need to arrange to use these alternative methods such as internet banking, the SBS Mobile Banking app, direct debits and automatic payments, EFTPOS and debit/credit cards and ATMs.
What do you need to do? If you are already registered to use our internet banking service or have downloaded the SBS Mobile app, and you are familiar with how these work, you’re all set to carry on using these after June 17. If not, we recommend you explore these options and get set up as soon as possible so we can help you get familiar with these before June 17, 2024. If you would like assistance, please call into your nearest branch or call our Contact Centre team on 0800 727 2265 and they will be able to assist you over the phone. There is also a series of ’How to’ guides and online videos which are easy to watch and will step you through the different aspects of our online banking services.
