Dear Member, The next time you use SBS Internet Banking or the Mobile App there will be some important changes. Biometrics Update If you’re registered on the SBS Mobile App and have biometrics (Face/Fingerprint ID) enabled, you’ll be prompted to input your 5-digit PIN. This update is designed to ensure your account remains secure.
- Forgotten Your PIN? If you’ve forgotten your 5-digit PIN, don’t worry! Simply use the "Reset PIN" option in the app to create a new one.
- Forgotten Your Password? If you’ve forgotten your internet banking password, you can reset it using the "Forgotten Password" link on the internet banking login page via our website.
- No Biometrics? If you don’t have biometrics enabled, you won’t be prompted to enter your PIN.
Other Updates:
- Password Reset SMS Codes: To enhance the security of our platform and protect your account, we’ve implemented a time delay for requesting password reset SMS codes.
Here’s how it works:
- After requesting your first three password reset SMS codes, there will be a 10-second pause before you can request another.
- If you need to request additional codes, a one-hour pause will be applied after the fourth and fifth requests.
- After the sixth request there will be a pause until the start of the day.
- These pauses help safeguard your account by preventing rapid, repeated requests that could indicate unauthorised activity.
- Account Icons: Choose from a selection of icons to personalise your account(s) in the SBS Mobile App. When viewing your transactions, you’ll see your chosen icon next to the account name. This can be accessed via the accounts' "More Options" menu.
- Error Message Changes: We have updated some of the messages for when errors occur in SBS Mobile App to make it easier for you to understand.
- Bug Fixes: We have fixed some bugs to improve our Internet Banking and Mobile App.
- How to Get Started: From Tuesday 17 September you can start using the new features on your SBS Bank Mobile App. Simply open the Google Play Store, search for "SBS Bank Mobile App," and tap "Update." Once the update is complete, you can either tap "Open" directly from Google Play Store or Apple Store and find the SBS Bank Mobile App icon on your device's home screen and tap it to open the updated version.
