We have been made aware of Members being contacted by individuals claiming to be from the SBS Bank Card Fraud team. These are not genuine calls from SBS Bank.
If you receive a call of this nature, please report it to our Contact Centre team immediately by calling us on
0800 727 2265.

| You can rest assured, we have robust over the phone verification processes and we will never ask you for your bank passwords or PIN numbers: in person, on the phone, in writing or by email.
A bank email will also never have a link in the email and ask you to log into your account. If you get any such requests, phone SBS Bank on 0800 727 2265 immediately to report it. SBS Bank takes customer data security and privacy seriously and we train all our staff on the importance of never sharing information with others.

Phone calls, texts or emails advising that you've won something. |

Someone calling to say you have an 'issue' with your computer. |

A request from someone to 'help them transfer funds' - and they'll give you an amount for your trouble. |

Companies you know calling you unexpectedly about an issue. |

Ways to help protect yourself |

If you are not sure whether a call is legitimate, hang up and call the company directly.

Never share your login details, password or PIN with anyone.
|

Never share any bank-issued authorisation codes you receive.

Update your devices regularly.

Make your passwords long, strong and unique.
|

•
|
If you think you are being targeted by a scam, do not engage.

Don’t share personal or financial information with anyone you don’t know.
